EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM, an ultra-wide angle f/2.8 L-type zoom lens, adopts a new 16 elements in 12 groups optical design for delivering superior image quality. Featuring 3 types of high-precision aspherical lenses, the combination provides excellent peripheral image quality in wide-angle shots. Two UD lenses are incorporated to compensate chromatic aberration, ensuring sharp and high quality image over the entire shooting range in superior contrast, resolution and color fidelity.

For even better performance, the lens coating has also been optimized for digital camera to minimize flare and ghosting effects. EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM is also designed with dust and water droplet resistance structures for rugged outdoor operation.
