This is the first EF-S standard zoom lens covering the wide end equivalent to 24mm in 135 format. The 2 high-precision GMo aspherical lens and 1 Replica aspherical lens inside provide high image quality in peripheral areas and minimize distortion. It also incorporates 1 UD lens to correct chromatic aberration. Together with the 4-stop Image Stabilizer and the Ring USM, shooting responsiveness and flexibility are guaranteed.
